John & Eileen are wonderful hosts! You must make plans to visit the White River Resort. I was visiting shortly after a snow storm and the water was high and fast, with most of the generators running at Bulls Shoal, however, the fishing was still good - [see my 17" smallmouth caught on a Gold Rapala countdown, # 7]. The camper cabin was adequate for my needs and very reasonably priced. The best thing about the White River Resort? From the moment I arrived, I felt like I was a family member coming to visit. John & Eileen, there well mannered children were genuinely happy to see me, as we spent several pleasant times chatting. I will definitely be returning as soon as my schedule allows. Bottom line is that if you want a great value, warm hosts and good fishing - the head the where the White and Buffalo River meet.
